Max Thieriot Just Dropped a Fire Country Bombshell

It’s only been a few weeks since Fire Country wrapped up its third season in a blazing finale, which was shortly followed by the news that the show was losing two series regulars heading into its fourth season. Now, leading star Max Thieriot just delivered an update on the show's future that could be concerning for those anxious about another season. Just a few days ago, it was announced that Sheriff Country Season 1, Fire Country Season 4, and Donnie Wahlberg’s new Blue Bloods spin-off, Boston Blue, will air back-to-back-to-back this fall on CBS at 8, 9, and 10 p.m. EST. Thieriot recently sat down for an interview with TV Insider, and he spoke about how the show needs to “continue pushing the envelope” in future seasons:

He also provided a status update on the next season of Fire Country, which is seemingly in very early stages of development, with the writer’s room having just begun: "As far as what is going to happen specifically at this point, I don’t know. We’re just opening the writers’ room, so we haven’t gotten that far. I know that everybody’s really focused on finding out."

After starring in all 52 episodes of Fire Country to date, Stephanie Arcila is one of the names confirmed not to reprise her role as Gabriela Perez in Season 4. It was also reported that Vince Leone actor Billy Burke will not be back in Season 4, but this has yet to be officially confirmed. The Fire Country team spoke about these departures in a recent interview, highlighting the loss the series will have to overcome going forward, but wanting to ensure the show continues to tell authentic stories. In addition to Thieriot as Bode, Kevin AlejandroJordan CallowayJules Latimer, and Diane Farr are all expected to return in Fire Country Season 4.
