Megyn Kelly agrees with the notion that Bill Belichick needs to “blink twice” if he needs help.
The journalist, 54, expressed concern about the former NFL coach’s mental health, given the level of control his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, had over his recent “CBS Sunday Morning” interview.
She made the comparison on Monday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show” that if the “situation were reversed” and it was an older woman dating a controlling younger man, “we’d be accusing him of elder abuse and asking whether he’s guilty of coercive control, and whether this woman is OK.”
Kelly then admitted, “And honestly, I’ve got all those same questions here.” However, she noted that she doesn’t believe “we’re ever going to get any answers.”
“She’s got major Dr. Jill [Biden] vibes,” the former Fox News host added of Hudson, referencing the belief that the former first lady committed elder abuse by not having former President Joe Biden step down sooner from the 2024 presidential run amid growing concerns about his mental capacity.
Kelly also called Hudson a “monster” in her segment for “completely trying to control” Belichick’s responses. The experienced interviewer additionally pointed out how “weird” and unusual the exchange was.
“If the spouse is going to be anyplace, they’re normally, like, behind, out of sight, from both the interviewer and interviewee, so as to not be a distraction,” Kelly explained.
“Not only was she in sight, but she was a constant distraction,” she said, adding, “I’m concerned for him.”
Page Six has reached out to a rep for Belichick for comment but did not immediately hear back.
Kelly joins a growing list of talking heads who have voiced worry over the University of North Carolina coach’s interview with CBS.
Dave Portnoy wrote via X that he found the sit-down “awkward” and he was “squirming” in his seat while watching it. Piers Morgan added in the thread, “It was utterly excruciating.”
Despite all the public backlash, Hudson — for the most part — has appeared unbothered, sharing on Sunday a happy-go-lucky carousel of images of her having fun in Nantucket, Mass.
She did subtly show she is paying attention to all the noise, though, by retweeting a post on X that said, “I see a woman who cares about her man and doesn’t want him to be screwed around by the media.”
The criticism was further fueled on Monday with sources claiming Hudson’s behavior was much worse behind the scenes than the small snippet of her shutting down a relationship question that CBS aired.
Insiders claimed to TMZ that the former cheerleader caused a 30-minute delay after getting upset over journalist Tony Dokoupil’s questions and that she allegedly corrected Belichick on football-related responses.
