Melissa Gorga Fine With Leaving RHONJ if Teresa Giudice Returns to the Franchise

Everyone is still speculating about who, if anyone, will return to Real Housewives of New Jersey next season. Season 14 saw the feud between Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudice divide the cast. And the sisters-in-law refused to film together until they went off the rails at the season finale. Even Andy Cohen has spelled out that this cast can’t move forward. And now Melissa is taking a stand.

Melissa Gorga will exit if Teresa Giudice returns

Melissa was a guest on the Two Ts In A Pod podcast and shared how she feels about returning to RHONJ. There have been rumors that the show will be completely rebooted, or that Bravo will instead bring back some cast members and add new faces to the mix.

“Because of all the rumors that are out there, I am fully prepared for anything. I think I would realize that [Teresa] and I are two extremely different characters,” Melissa stated.

She continued, “So if Bravo decides to go that route and kind of the darker, whatever it is, route, then I need to say, ‘That is not a show that I want to be on anyway,’ which it truly isn’t. I do want to be on [RHONJ],” Melissa explained. “I do not want to be on that toxic sh*t so as long as she is there and that whole thing would come back.” She added, “I wouldn’t find it as a loss.”

Of course, Teresa has previously stated that she isn’t planning to leave anytime soon. “No, I’m not leaving. I started the show,” Teresa stated. “When Bravo wants me to leave, that’s when I’ll leave.”

As for Melissa, she seems fine with whatever happens in the franchise’s future. “Either way, I think that … we’ve shown a lot of our lives and I’m happy to continue showing it, and I’m also happy with the memories that we made. So I feel like we’ll be at peace either way,” she previously told her husband, Joe Gorga, on her podcast.

It is going to be a long time until fans find out the cast choices for RHONJ, which is reportedly on pause for now.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is streaming on Peacock.
