Melissa Gorga revealed that a fellow “Real Housewives” star helped her with the launch of her sprinkle cookie business, Sprinkle by MG—and it wasn’t a Jersey girl.
In a February 2025 interview on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” Gorga shared that she received major help from “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Lisa Barlow amid a long search to find the perfect baker for her brand.
Melissa Gorga Said Lisa Barlow Knows People ‘Everywhere’

Barlow is a successful businesswoman known for her Luxe marketing company and Vida Tequila brand.
On Lewis’ podcast, Gorga revealed that Barlow used one of her many connections to help her launch her business. After the two women did a fan appearance together, Barlow asked Gorga why she didn’t have a cookie line. The question came after Barlow witnessed fans referencing Gorga’s infamous sprinkle cookie incident with her now-estranged sister-in-law Teresa Giudice during her first season on RHONJ.
“The audience people were screaming, ‘Team Sprinkle. We love sprinkle cookies,’ and [Lisa] looked at me when we were driving home in the car, and she said, ‘Why don’t you have a sprinkle cookie?’” Gorga said on Lewis’ show (per Reality Blurb). “I said, ‘I’ve been working on it. It’s in the works but I haven’t been happy with who was making them yet. I keep trying. I’m not happy.’”
According to Gorga, Barlow told her she knew of a man who might be a perfect fit to get her cookie line launched. “She knows someone everywhere,” Gorga noted of the Utah-based businesswoman.
“I said, ‘I’ve been looking, I almost had a deal.’ I was doing it with ShopRite, to be honest, and then I ended up not doing it. So she introduced me to him, I drove up there, met him, and it worked,” Gorga shared.
Gorga and Barlow have made public appearances together multiple times. In 2023, they were photographed together at the Vivint Smart Lighting Launch Party in New York. And last fall, they appeared together on a Housewives Night Out panel with fellow “Real Housewives” veterans Karen Huger and Dorinda Medley. Sprinkle by MG launched in December 2024.
Melissa Gorga Spent 2 Years Finding the Perfect Baker for Her Cookies
Gorga previously revealed that she spent two years searching for “the right baker to team up with” to create the perfect butter cookie for her brand.
In an interview with Us Weekly, she said, “It was all about having an amazing tasting cookie that will make people [say], ‘That was the best butter cookie I’ve ever had, and I’m going to get it again.’ So, there’s been a lot of work, and back and forth, [to] creating the perfect cookie — and we definitely have it now.”
Speaking with PIX 11 News, she elaborated, “I teamed up with an amazing baker in Schenectady, upper Schenectady in New York. They are made in New York, an Italian family. I made sure they are, like, perfect to my liking. I think they’re going to be the best sprinkle cookie you ever had.”
Sprinkle by MG was officially launched on December 9, 2024. In a post shared on Instagram, Gorga announced, “My passion for sprinkle cookies is finally available for you! With @sprinklebymg The ultimate sprinkle butter cookie that’s as chic as it is delicious! Trust me… you will NOT want to throw these in the garbage 😉.”
The sprinkle cookie reference dates back to a RHONJ season 3 scene in which Giudice complained that Gorga brought store-bought sprinkle cookies to her house for Christmas. In the iconic scene, Giudice told co-stars Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita, “She brought me sprinkle cookies. I said to her, ‘Melissa, nobody touched the cookies you brought. I threw them in the garbage!”
“You know what my favorite cookies are? Pignoli cookies,” Giudice added.
