Melissa Gorga Reveals Why She Wants to Help Cast RHONJ Season 15

Melissa Gorga says she is ready for “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast to be announced.

Speaking on her “On Display” podcast in May 2025, the Bravo TV veteran addressed the show’s long hiatus and said she simply wants to know where she stands. Gorga also offered to use her platform to help cast the upcoming season of the Jersey-based reality show.

In addition to Gorga, the 14^th season of RHONJ  starred Teresa Giudice,  Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Danielle Cabral, Jennifer Aydin, and Rachel Fuda. Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler appeared as “friends of.” The show has been on “pause’ since mid-2024.

Melissa Gorga Explained Why She Posted an RHONJ Casting Flyer

In May 2025, Gorga posted a RHONJ casting flyer on her Instagram story and encouraged followers to apply to be on the show. She later explained the move on her podcast. “In my DMs, people were kind of shocked that I reposted the flyer that they’re looking for their casting for ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey,'” she said on “On Display” on May 15.

Gorga admitted that she was “sick” of hearing that they’re “searching for more people” to add to the show. “Let me help you,” she offered. “Like, let me help you. Because, like, I think I have the biggest platform to help y’all. Because whatever everyone’s doing is just taking too long. So, I’m like, ‘What?’ I’m like, ‘We’re in Jersey, you can’t find Italian families in Jersey? Like sisters, cousins, uncles?’ So maybe I’m just going to cast to today here on my podcast.”

Gorga admitted the move could put her own status on the show in jeopardy. “Listen guys, this might be getting me to lose my job for all I know. But at this point, I don’t even care,” she said. “I’m just like, make a decision already, cast the damn show, let us know who’s in and who’s out so we can keep it moving. I want to help you at this point, cast the new show.”

Gorga noted that casting has been in the works for six to eight months already, with no announcements at all. “I do believe they’re looking for like, you know, energetic, outgoing women with big families. And you know, they don’t necessarily have to be Italian,” she said. “Just if you’re good for TV and you’re not shy. you’re outspoken, you want to share your life, you have a cute story, like, go find that flyer and reach out. So that’s why I posted it, not because I’m casting for a show that I know I’m going to be on. I don’t care at this point. Just cast the show!”

Gorga’s comments came days after Bravo posted a list of “Real Housewives” franchises set to launch new seasons, and RHONJ was missing from the list.

Gorga has been a cast member on RHONJ since  2011. She previously addressed rumors of an RHONJ cast shakeup during a February 2025 appearance on the “Sherri” show.  When asked if she would like to return to the show, Gorga replied, “Of course.”

“I know they’re definitely talking about bringing in some new girls.  I’m assuming they’re going to keep some familiar faces as well,” she said at the time.

Bravo host and producer Andy Cohen teased that it could be a long while before there’s any news about “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” Speaking with Us Weekly last December, Cohen said, “You’re not gonna get [RHONJ] for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking. And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
