“We had a mutual hair [stylist], and Christina was a big fan of [RHONJ],” Melissa told the hosts. “She asked the hair girl to connect us because she wanted to do dinner. And we went to dinner, and we had a great night  — multiple times… She’s great. We had such a great night. We had a great night out in LA a couple of times.”

Melissa said Christina and her fiancé, Matthew Rutler, visit New Jersey on a regular basis, and have sought an invitation to the Gorgas' shore house on Barnegat Bay.

Melissa said Christina has also tried hanging out with her on other occasions, but she was unfortunately busy with RHONJ.

“A couple times, she invited me [out], and I was filming [and] I couldn’t go,” the Jersey mom revealed. “Another time, she invited me to her birthday — I couldn’t go. I was like, ‘I can’t believe this!’ Can you believe? See? I’m so professional.”

Melissa spoke about her friendship with Christina during a 2021 appearance on the Wendy Williams Show, confirming she had met the Grammy winner through hairstylist Priscilla Valles.

“Christina is a huge fan of the show (RHONJ), and she loves Joe [Gorga] and I,” Melissa said. “She wanted to meet. We met up, and we had dinner. We’re friends. I just love her. She’s a good soul. She’s a good person.”

Why Melissa & Joe Gorga took their shore house off the market

Melissa and her husband, Joe, purchased their shore house in 2019 and listed it for $2.45 million two years later. The couple initially planned to buy another vacation home in the Hamptons but scrapped those plans after getting “cold feet.”

“We’re not going to sell the shore house,” Melissa told BravoTV.com in 2022. “I think I decided that even if we get something in the Hamptons as well, we’re not going to. I have the best property for where I grew up. And I’m like, you can’t rebuy the piece of property that I have in Toms River.”

She continued: “My roots are there. I went to high school there. I just said to Joe this is actually something...we’re going to hold on to this and give it to our kids’ kids. There’s no reason to let it go as of now.”
