The Real Housewives of New Jersey is one of the fan-favorite franchises on Bravo. However, after a divided season, the show has been put on pause for the time being, with talks of a reboot. Now, Melissa Gorga is opening up about her ongoing issue with Teresa Giudice and discussing what the current cast knows about the show’s future.
As everyone knows, Teresa and Melissa have been feuding for years. Notably, she didn’t appreciate that Melissa and her brother joined the show early on without telling her first. Of course, there has also been much drama in recent years, and Joe and Melissa didn’t attend Teresa’s wedding to Luis Ruelas, which made things even worse. The two hardly interacted last season.
Recently, Melissa did an interview with People. One of the questions they asked was if the time away from filming had helped her relationship with her sister-in-law.
Melissa replied, “I guess there’s no relationship.”
The RHONJ star continued, “There’s just no relationship, nothing has changed. It’s pretty much right where it was and I just think that’s how it’s got to be for a while.”
Of course, Teresa wasn’t the only topic of conversation. They also asked what she’s been up to since the cameras hadn’t been rolling. She replied, “I’m actually enjoying the time off. I’m enjoying just like working really hard at Envy right now. I never have this much time to get in there and do as much as I’ve been doing lately.”
Melissa went on, “We’re really like getting a lot of new brands in. So I’m taking the minute that I think the show needed, and I’m taking the time to spend time with my family and work hard, you know, on my other projects.”
People also talked to Melissa about the future of RHONJ, and she shared that she and the cast members she’s close to sometimes speculate about where it’s going.
She said, “Sometimes when we’re at dinner, we’ll speculate and say, what do you think? What do you think they’re going to do? I mean, we’d be lying if we said we didn’t, but at the end of the day we know all of us have zero control over it.”
Melissa added, “So whatever is meant to be will be, and that’s how it goes.”
Of course, there have been several rumors about who may stay and who might go from the long-running series. Still, it has been said that no casting decisions have been made.
