The Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton is one of the most talked-about people on the cast. Some fans love her, but following last season, many viewers expressed their desire for her to depart the show. Now, it seems this could be the case as she recently confirmed a move and expressed that she has found her peace after leaving Potomac.
Mia joined RHOP for the show’s sixth season. Initially, she was on her way to becoming a fan favorite. However, as the seasons passed, viewers and castmates labeled her a liar who could never keep her tall tales straight. This has led many to use the phrase “Mia be lying” in association with her. Notably, last season even included a paternity storyline, which many considered distasteful.
Mia recently posted a photo with her smiling kids on Instagram. However, it was the hashtags within the caption that really grabbed people’s attention. She said, “…and she created her P E A C E. We LOVE it here. #penthouseliving #atl #mamabear”
Many of the comments were positive, highlighting Mia’s resemblance to her children and remarking on how important it is to live a peaceful life. However, some took this as a sign that she was exiting RHOP.
One person said, “I wish you would have stayed on the show.” Someone else simply said, “Mia be lying.” Another person commented, “Chile, Giselle done ran you to a whole different state LMAO.”
Over on X, The Brooke Ashley, a talented YouTuber who recaps and discusses Housewives and other reality shows, reposted TV Deets’ announcement of Mia’s moving and said, “So she’s definitely not coming back to #RHOP. God is too good!”
The X account Kary also posted a clip of Gizelle Bryant from the most recent RHOP reunion saying that Mia doesn’t even live in Potomac. She says in the clip, “Inc lives in Atlanta. Mia knows we’re about to film again. Mia lives in Atlanta. She does not live in DC, Maryland, or Virginia.”
Mia then says, “Why would you say that? I haven’t moved. Yes, I do [live in Potomac].” Gizelle continues, “Every interview, you fly in for your interviews. I’ve heard people that are on your plane as you’re in the back, but people have told me.”
Mia goes on, “I do fly back and forth, yes. I live here. I have a condo here.” Gizelle then ends with, “Mia, fine, if that’s the lie you want to tell today.”
Notably, there were also comments on Mia’s Instagram that alluded to this conversation. One fan wrote, “Ooop Gizelle always clocks the tea. She knew her a** was living in Atl all along.” Someone else said, “[Gizelle] called it.” It’s also important to note that this comes after Mia expressed interest in joining The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Fans can watch Mia in old episodes of RHOP on Peacock.
