It appears Mia Thornton has ditched Washington, D.C., in favor of Atlanta.
The Real Housewives of Potomac mom hinted at the move in an April 5 Instagram post featuring her and her three kids, Joshua, Jeremiah, and Juliana. The family was seen smiling from ear to ear in what looked like their new penthouse kitchen.
“… And she created her P E A C E,” Mia wrote in the post. “We LOVE it here.”
The caption concluded with the hashtags “mama bear,” “ATL,” and “penthouse living.”
Mia also posted a Story of her and her youngest son, Jeremiah, dancing to OutKast’s 1996 Atlanta anthem, “ATLiens.”
The update came more than two months after the heated RHOP Season 9 reunion in which Gizelle Bryant accused Mia of living in Atlanta with her ex-boyfriend Incognito, aka Inc.

“Inc lives in Atlanta… Mia lives in Atlanta,” Gizelle said. “She does not live in D.C., Maryland, or Virginia.”
Mia immediately pushed back on the claim, insisting she did live in the DMV area.
“Why would you say that?” she asked Gizelle. “I haven’t moved… I have a condo here."
“You don’t,” Gizelle fired back. “Fine, if that’s the lie you want to tell today.”

Several weeks after the reunion finale, Mia expressed interest in moving to the ATL and becoming closer to The Real Housewives of Atlanta ladies. She made the comments during the March 17 episode of Posted on the Corner hosted by her ex-beau, Inc.
“I saw you put out a tweet… that says, ‘Hey, RHOA season premiere makes me want to move to Atlanta full-time,'” Inc said. “What’s the origin of the tweet?”
“Did you see the premiere?” Mia replied. “Oh my gosh, the girls are comin’ in hot… The way they were showing ATL; the way that the girls were showing up, they looked good. I just felt like the [RHOA cast] liked each other. They looked like they were real friends. I’m like, ‘I want to be part of a real friend crew...’ That’s my kind of crew — the elevation of it all.”
Mia told Inc she’s always “loved” the Atlanta food scene and overall vibes, saying it was much more “artsy” than the Potomac area.
“They’re creatives,” she said about Atlanta residents. “Back home in D.C., it’s real political… Keep me out of those circles. Arts and entertainment? That I can do.”
Mia shares her youngest children — Jeremiah and Juliana — with her estranged husband, Gordon Thornton. Her oldest son, Joshua, is from a previous relationship. Get more details about the ex-couple’s separation, including the moment Mia decided to file for divorce.
