Michael Vick And Bijan Robinson: History Of The Number 7 In Atlanta

The original left-handed quarterback for the Falcons was Vick and he was one of the main reasons the position has changed over time and more quarterbacks follow his play style. Vick was never the best passer, but was one of, if not the best running quarterback before the 2010's.

Robinson on the other hand is already solidifying himself as one of the best running backs in the league, even though he is only entering his third season. He is coming off a very impressive 1,456-yard and 14 touchdown seasons, where he earned his first pro bowl selection.

The number seven is solidified in Falcons history already with Vick, and now it is even more solidified with a player like Robinson wearing the popular number. Both players have stories to tell, and it is time to tell them.

Everyone knows the story about Vick. He came into the league and did not really play much in his first season but showed some flashes. It led to him becoming a full-time starter in season two, where he put up some outstanding rushing numbers with 777 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Vick was already a three-time pro bowler by the time of his arrest for illegal dog fighting, where he was locked up for two years and released by the Falcons. One of the biggest what ifs in NFL history has always been, what would Vick have accomplished if he never was arrested.

Robinson has been everything that the Falcons have needed at running back since they drafted him in 2023. He has brought back the relevancy of number 7 for the Falcons and is currently on pace to have a wonderful career.

Both Robinson and Vick have both had moments with the Falcons and Robinson looks to continue to improve and impress as a member of the team.
