The Minnesota Vikings took the field for the first time on Friday afternoon after the NFL Draft concluded and rookies got their first action in an NFL setting.
Overall, 51 players participated in rookie minicamp, including 20 non-roster invitees, one of which is Maine wide receiver Montigo Moss , the son of Vikings Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss.
Minnesota Vikings minicamp highlights
Unlike training camp, the Vikings don't make minicamp public, meaning we are at the mercy of the team to post the highlights from the practices. These practices aren't like training camp either, as they are mostly positional drills.
"I've been around some rookie mini camps where there was full speed team and a lot of injuries and a lot of guys just fighting to make a team," said head coach Kevin O'Connell. "So, we don't do that, but we do get some time together as a full group."
We don't have a ton of highlights, but the Vikings did share clips of the top two draft picks: Tai Felton and Donovan Jackson, along with highlights from the practice overall. Enjoy them and hopefully we get more after tomorrow's practice.
