Genoa City is getting ready for another visit from Amanda Sinclair as Mishael Morgan returns to The Young & The Restless for another visit!
Deadline broke the news, reporting that the actress is back on set taping this week. Although they describe it as a “guest arc,” the outlet also mentions that her “episode” will air later on this spring. One episode doesn’t feel like much of an arc, but time will tell!
Morgan first appeared on Y&R as Hilary Curtis back in June 2013 and earned two Daytime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress before her exit in July 2018 when her character was killed in a car crash. Just over a year later, Morgan returned to the soap as Hilary’s previously unknown twin sister, Amanda Sinclair.

In 2022, Morgan made history when she became the first Black woman to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress for her portrayal of Amanda. But in October of that year, she opted to take “a step back” from the soap to pursue other opportunities.
Those other opportunities have included roles in television series like Chicago Med and Most Dangerous Game as well as in movies like Sworn Justice: Taken Before Christmas, Christmas With a Kiss, and Dress for Success. Her latest film, the first in the Hearts Around the Table series, premiered on March 22, and Morgan’s character is the focus of the second, Shari’s Second Act, premiering on Saturday, March 29.
But Morgan has made occasional visits to Genoa City since taking that step back. The last time viewers saw Amanda on screen was back in March 2024, when Mamie approached the attorney about undoing the Chancellor Winters merger. What kind of drama will she get mixed up in this time around? You’ll just have to stay tuned to find out!
