The MLB season is inching closer to the All-Star game that takes place on July 15.
Some of the game's best players are set to face off against one another, with Los Angeles Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts leading the National League and the New York Yankees' manager Aaron Boone at the helm for the American League.
From players like Shohei Ohtani, Aaron Judge, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. making All-Star bids, there was one particular player who is drawing a lot of attention from the MLB after being left off the National League roster.
Seiya Suzuki wasn't given an All-Star bid, as the NL went with designated hitters Shohei Ohtani and Kyle Schwarber for the game instead.

The decision for the NL to leave Seiya Suzuki off the roster has drawn a lot of criticism from fans, and many believe he deserves the roster spot more than Kyle Schwarber and even Shohei Ohtani.
While leading the league in RBI as of July 6, Suzuki has put together an impressive stat line as the regular season enters the second half of the season.
The strong bat from Tokyo, Japan has a .261 BA, .318 OBP, .551 SLG, and a .870 OPS while hitting 24 home runs and 75 RBI in 85 games this season.
"And yet Julio Rodriguez got named an All Star. What a joke," one fan said.
"How is the MLB RBI leader not an all-star?!" Someone else replied.
"Love Schwarber but Seiya is more deserving as a AllStar DH," a third fan said.
The MLB faced backlash for awarding Kyle Schwarber an All-Star nod over Seiya Suzuki, especially given how closely their stat lines compare this season.
Suzuki has more hits (89), RBI (75), as well as a better BA (.261) and SLG (.551) than the Phillies designated hitter, but Schwarber has more home runs (27), SB (8), as well as a better OBP (.382) and OPS (.922) than Suzuki this season.
While Suzuki has played at an All-Star level this season, the league's decision to go away from Suzuki has made for some interesting reactions.
