Monique Samuels Joins RHOP Cast for Season 10 in Major Comeback

Monique Samuels exited The Real Housewives of Potomac after Season 5. As you may recall, the season featured her physical altercation with Candiace Dillard Bassett. The unsettling moment, caught on film, divided both the cast and the fans. Both ladies filed second-degree assault cases against each other, which were later dismissed. In the end, Monique decided to leave and focus on her family and her businesses. Well, now she is coming back to RHOP for Season 10.

Mia Thornton’s RHOP exit and Karen Huger’s jail sentence left some spots open in the cast. And Bravo knew just who to have step in. Monique will be joining the show in a supporting role. An insider told PEOPLE, “Monique’s in a totally different place now, and fans will see that. She’s excited to show who she is now – not as a wife, not as just a mom, but as a woman starting over and taking on life on her own terms.”

Former NFL player Chris Samuels and Monique finalized their divorce in 2023. The couple shares three children. After departing RHOP, Monique and Chris appeared on Love & Marriage DC on OWN in 2022. Sadly, their relationship fumbled shortly afterward.

According to Monique, she had earlier entertained the possibility of joining The Traitors Season 3, but decided against it. It’s interesting that Monique is choosing to return to RHOP now. Of course, with Candiace no longer in the mix, some of that toxicity is gone.

It may still be rocky between Monique and Gizelle Bryant. As you may recall, Gizelle brought a bodyguard around with her when she was around Monique after Candiace and Monique’s fight. And Monique’s binder of receipts at the Season 5 RHOP was nothing short of iconic. I’m excited to see what Monique brings to Season 10 of RHOP.

The Real Housewives of Potomac is streaming on Peacock. The show streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland.
