Must see: Arthur Kaliyev nets first goal as a member of New York Rangers

Arthur Kaliyev capitalized on a rebound from Filip Chytil's shot, ultimately finding the back of the net.

The Rangers recently claimed Kaliyev off waivers on January 6th, after the Los Angeles Kings decided to part ways with the young forward.

The 23-year-old was originally selected 33rd overall by the Kings in the 2nd round of the 2019 NHL Draft, and he was thought to be one of the Kings' top prospects.

Unfortunately, things didn't play out that way as he struggled to earn a spot and produce consistently in the lineup, ultimately leaving him to be placed on waivers and joining the Rangers. Thursday. night's game marked his fourth appearance with the Rangers.

The Rangers had a solid game against the Utah HC as they managed to win 5-3, thanks to goal scorers Artemi Panarin (2 goals) Arthur Kaliyev, Reilly Smith and Chris Kreider.

Hopefully, the Blueshirts can continue to play like this once they return to Madison Square Garden on Saturday when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets.
