The Walking Dead Season 5 saw a host of nail-biting situations for Rick and the gang. From Carol wiping out the community at Terminus and the group attempting to save Beth from the hospital, to Eugene finally telling the truth about knowing the cure for the virus, the season also welcomed Ross Marquand's character, Aaron.
In the long-running AMC series, Aaron and Eric were appointed to recruit survivors to help flesh out the community of people who knew how to survive the outside world. After many attempts to show that he was a friendly face, which included leaving water out for the struggling group, Aaron eventually won Rick's trust and brought the gang back to Alexandria. Even though Rick initially fought to believe in Aaron, he became one of Rick's most trusted friends. Not long after the group settled into Alexandria, the settlement came under attack from the Wolves, but thankfully, due to Rick, Michonne and Daryl's sharp survival skills, they were able to defeat them, keeping their idyllic home safe (for that moment). Fans who have witnessed the cast interact outside of their roles on The Walking Dead will know that they all share a fun and silly sense of humor with each other, with Ross Marquand pulling the biggest prank of all when he pretended to be Reedus just to get into a posh restaurant.
The Walking Dead’s Ross Marquand Used His Norman Reedus Impression To Get Into a Fancy Restaurant
According to ScreenRant, who attended the recent Spotlight Panel at AwesomeCon, Ross Marquand was asked if he had ever used his voice acting impressions to do a prank on anybody. It seems as though Marquand really enjoys taking on the persona of Norman Reedus and even went as far as mimicking the Death Stranding star's voice to bag a reservation for himself and other Walking Dead cast members at a posh restaurant that he didn't think he had enough clout to get a booking there by being himself. Marquand also admitted that Reedus didn't know anything about him using his voice - well, that was until he revealed it in front of a huge audience.
"I did get a restaurant reservation one time for myself and some of The Walking Dead cast because I do a Norman Reedus impression. This was one of the few times I'd ever do that, but I just knew that my clout was probably not enough to get into this really nice restaurant. I was just like, "[imitating Reedus] Oh, yeah, hey. This is Norman Reedus from The Walking Dead. Yeah, we're just trying to go to this restaurant. There's, like, 10 of us. Is that cool?" They were like, "Yes, Norman Reedus, of course. Whatever you need." It worked!"
The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 will be released on May 4, 2025, with Daryl Dixon season 3 arriving sometime in the autumn of this year.
