Sonny brings Donna home to Carly’s. Donna tells her mom all about Dante’s party, Rocco’s debate, and that Daddy has to stay home and miss it.
Donna takes off, and Carly asks Sonny if missing Rocco’s big night has to do with Laura? Sonny admits it does, and he knows their connection is a liability for Laura. Carly thinks he’s doing the right thing, and if he wants to help Laura, he should get out of her way.
Sonny doesn’t want to talk about this referendum, but Carly says he needs to let the vote happen and not fight it. She feels he can live without the piers. Sonny argues his enemies will think he’s weak if he lets this go, and she knows how dangerous that can be. Carly believes there has to be another way to show strength to his enemies. Sonny doesn’t want to go up against Laura, but their family’s safety comes first, and points to Michael’s burns as an example. He also comes clean about his heart problems, which he’s having to keep hidden as well.
Carly is floored and asks who knows about his heart. He says Brick, Dante, Kristina, Isaiah and Natalia. Carly can’t believe she told Natalia. Sonny explains she found him having an attack, but he doesn’t trust her anymore. He fills her in on Natalia’s connection to Sidwell, and that Brick set him up with a surgeon in LA. Carly insists she is going with him to have the surgery.
Joss Is On the Case
At the hospital, Anna is with Emma, who is about to start her court-ordered community service. Felicia meets with them and takes Emma off for her first job. Felicia later talks with Anna about Mac’s concerns that this referendum could remove Laura from office, which could also put Anna’s position at risk. Anna knows, and she also has the ADA breathing down her neck.
In an exam room, Joss gets her ankle checked out by Isaiah. She claims she rolled it during a hike on Easter Island. Isaiah says she needs six weeks of PT and to stay off her ankle.
Joss later runs into Emma, who is a bit of a mess. Emma explains she’s helping in art therapy, and the kids turned her into a canvas. Joss is impressed she has time to volunteer, but Emma says this is her community service for what happened with the crypt. Joss thinks community service is a bit harsh for a protest. Emma explains she has some priors, and Joss can’t believe she, of all people, has a shady past. Emma notes that not everyone has a daddy to buy their way out of messes. Emma takes off to get gum out of her hair.
Joss spots Professor Dalton step off the elevator with a metallic briefcase and trails him. He scans a card and goes into a locked and secure room, which is a lab for authorized research personnel only. After he leaves the lab, Joss continues to trail him. Once he leaves GH, she texts Vaughn about their friend from PCU.
Emma reconnects with Anna and Felicia and receives her next orders: a papier-mâché class. Emma takes off, and Felicia and Anna continue their talk about ADA Turner. Anna says Turner thinks Jason killed Cyrus, and she’s giving her special treatment. Felicia notes she wouldn’t cover for him, but she does give Jason special treatment. Anna states she’s made it clear to Jason that should she get evidence he committed a crime, she won’t look the other way. Felicia notes this is why it’s more important than ever that Laura remains mayor, as Robert isn’t here to protect Anna.
Jason accompanies Sasha as she gets her ultrasound and seems moved to see the baby. Afterward, Sasha is thrilled as the baby is almost developed. Jason asks if he can send one of the photos to Michael, which prompts Sasha to ask why. He thought it would help his recovery to see that she and the baby are healthy. Sasha asks to think about it, as she doesn’t want Michael any more involved than he has to be. She thanks Jason for coming today, though.
Maxie and Brook Lynn Get Shocking News
At Deception, Lucy gets off the phone and tells Maxie and Brook Lynn that their wrinkle cream is flying off the shelves at the boutiques Natalie set up in LA. Brook Lynn says they are in the black, and it’s only the second quarter. Lucy says it’s all thanks to Sidwell. Lucy says she has to go and takes off, leaving Brook Lynn and Maxie puzzled as there is still work to do.
Jason stops by later to see Maxie and Brook Lynn, as Sonny asked him to tell them their company may be at risk, as Natalia has been lying to them for months. Her ex-husband is Jenz Sidwell. Brook Lynn asks if Sonny knew about this the entire time, and Jason says he just found out. Maxie thinks they shouldn’t have trusted Sidwell, and she doesn’t care what Sasha says about the guy. She won’t work with him again. Jason asks what Sasha said? Maxie gives him the quick spiel that Sasha claimed the kidnapping was all about Holly, and she was fine with them working with Sidwell.
Jason departs, and Maxie is intent on getting out of their deal, and states that nothing is ironclad. She calls Anna, who arrives, and Maxie brings her up to speed on Sidwell and Natalia. Maxie wants to kick Sidwell to the curb, but Anna says that’s a bad idea because of Lucy. She says Lucy is too fond of Sidwell, so they need to sit tight, and she’ll take care of this.
Sidwell Makes Jordan an Offer
Jordan meets with Sidwell at Wyndemere to discuss his job offer, which she notes is vague. He says she can pick her own title, and what he needs her to do is represent his interests to Port Charles. She is friends with Laura, Anna and Drew, some of the most influential people in town. Jordan notes her friendship with Drew is over, and he can’t pay her enough to fix that.
Sidwell notes that Drew is a powerful man and they should have him on their side. Additionally, this new job would allow her to keep an eye on him. He asks if they have a deal? She will have her lawyer review the generous contract. Sidwell will be very demanding on her intellect, time, and energy, and she’ll have little time for a personal life.
Lucy Gets a Shock
Lucy shows up and wonders what Jordan is doing here. Sidwell explains that Jordan is coming to work for him. Jordan notes she hasn’t said yes yet, but Jenz is sure she will. Jordan takes off.
Sidwell says he heard her cream sold out. She brings him a sample of their new cream with his zincite and says they are up to their eyeballs in orders. She says they need to discuss business and has invited Natalia over. Jenz is thrilled to hear that, as Natalia has always had an excellent sense for business. Lucy is confused, “Always?” Jenz reveals Natalia is his ex-wife.
Lucy is stunned, and Jenz assumed that when they first met, Natalia would tell them. But he wanted to make sure he was fully transparent with her moving forward. Natalia arrives, and Lucy asks her why she never told them she was married to Jenz? Natalia didn’t think it was relevant, and she was going to tell them when Sidwell came to town. Sidwell assures Lucy that he’s comfortable working with Natalia, and their marriage was a long time ago, so they can move forward in this.
Lucy tells Natalia that Tracy never wanted her onboard, and her days at Deception are numbered. Lucy storms out, and Natalia is furious with Sidwell for telling Lucy. She also says Sonny knows and is out for blood. Jenz asks how Corinthos reacted. She says Sonny cut off their professional relationship. Sonny was the one who made her CFO of Deception. Jenz thinks that’s over and asks if this relationship was why she went to a cardiologist in LA with Sonny? She can’t believe he’s having her followed.
Jens says he’s the only one who can protect her, now that Sonny will see she’s out at Deception. He can help her stay on, but he needs some information. He knows her reunion with Marco went poorly, and he can try to mend fences between them. Help him, and he’ll help her. Natalia confides to Sidell that Sonny needs open heart surgery.
Sasha’s On Her Way to Becoming a Quartermaine
Sasha returns home, and Olivia asks how long she wants to take for her maternity leave. Sasha hadn’t thought about it. How does it work living here without a job? Olivia says not to worry about that. Everyone loves her, she’s great with the kids, and she even keeps Tracy in her place. Olivia says she is well on her way to being a true Quartermaine. Sasha asks if she says that only because of her baby?
Olivia knows how she feels, as she married into the family. She thought Tracy, who didn’t come to the wedding, was boycotting it, but she sent her a card welcoming her and Leo to the family. She shows Sasha the note, and Sasha is shocked that Tracy can be so warm and compassionate. Olivia says whenever this family pushes her to her wits’ end, she looks at this letter. If the Quartermaines choose someone as family, it’s because they earned it, and Sasha is one of them now.
Jason returns later and confronts Sasha, asking how she could sell out to Sidwell?
Say It Isn’t So, Jordan
Jordan checks in with Isiah at the hospital and informs him of her new job as COO for Sidwell’s company. He tells her, “You can’t be serious!” Isiah thinks this is taking danger to a new level, and what if he’s onto her and playing her? She thinks Sidwell likes her, so she is in a position to take him down. Isaiah asks, ‘”What about what we have? ” Jordan says it has to end.
On the next General Hospital, Lucas confronts Marco, and Sidwell gives Alexis advice.
