Natalia Puts Sonny’s Life At Risk On General Hospital

Natalia broke Sonny’s failing heart once, and she just did it all over again on the April 18, 2025 episode of General Hospital.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) isn’t always quick to trust others, but when it came to Natalia (Eva LaRue), he was pretty smitten by his daughter’s now-ex-girlfriend’s mother. They had a bond that surpassed their daughters’ breakup, and Sonny even helped land Natalia the role of CFO at Deception.

But the biggest thing Sonny trusted her with was the details of his heart problem. He went as far as to allow Natalia to join him at his cardiologist appointment in Los Angeles, where he learned he would need open heart surgery. But things recently took a turn for the duo when Sonny found out that Natalia’s ex-husband is the one and only Sidwell (Carlo Rota), and he immediately cut ties with her for his own safety.

Now, as if things couldn’t get any worse, Sonny decided to reveal to Carly (Laura Wright) that his heart surgery is scheduled for next week. She insisted on joining him in LA, but he may have bigger problems than his overbearing ex-wife.

At Wyndemere, after Sidwell revealed to Lucy (Lynn Herring) that Natalia is his ex-wife, the news put Natalia’s job in jeopardy. An argument between the exes ended with Natalia letting it slip that Sonny knew about their past, then Sidwell questioned why she previously joined the mobster in LA. Natalia admitted it was because Sonny learned he needs open heart surgery, instantly putting Sonny’s business and life at risk.
