NBC has announced the list of returning cast members for all three of its hit One Chicago dramas—Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med—set to return for the 2025–2026 season.
The announcement follows a wave of speculation about cast changes, particularly after recent high-profile exits and talk of budget cuts. By confirming the return of key actors across all three series, NBC signals a stable direction for the franchise and underscores its commitment to maintaining the ensemble-driven storytelling that has defined the brand for over a decade.
Chicago Fire, longtime lead Taylor Kinney has inked a new deal and will return as Lt. Kelly Severide, joined by Miranda Rae Mayo as Lt. Stella Kidd and Dermot Mulroney as Chief Dom Pascal. Their return comes as a relief to fans, especially following recent cast departures. Eamonn Walker will also reprise his role as Chief Wallace Boden in at least one upcoming episode.
Over at Chicago P.D., the show’s core team remains intact. Jason Beghe (Hank Voight), Marina Squerciati (Kim Burgess), Patrick John Flueger (Adam Ruzek), LaRoyce Hawkins (Kevin Atwater), Benjamin Levy Aguilar (Dante Torres), and Amy Morton (Trudy Platt) are all expected to return for Season 13. The continuity provides a strong foundation for the series as it continues to tackle gritty storylines and emotional character arcs.
Chicago Med will also see the return of its longtime cast members, including S. Epatha Merkerson (Sharon Goodwin), Oliver Platt (Dr. Daniel Charles), Marlyne Barrett (Maggie Lockwood), Steven Weber (Dr. Dean Archer), Jessy Schram (Dr. Hannah Asher), and Luke Mitchell (Dr. Mitch Ripley). New to the medical drama are Sarah Ramos and Darren Barnet, who will join the ensemble as fresh-faced physicians.
The new season will begin filming in Chicago in July. All three shows are expected to premiere this fall, continuing the franchise’s legacy as one of network television’s most successful and enduring brands.
