Negan’s (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) family is on The Dama’s (Lisa Emery) mind in an exclusive to Collider sneak peek of this week’s episode of The Walking Dead: Dead City. Titled “Feisty Friendly,” the installment, which arrives this Sunday, will see Negan further pressed to keep up appearances for his new boss, who is happy to hold his family over his head. The Dama is certainly living up to the first word in the episode’s title, as she’s getting a little bit feisty with the leather-clad Negan while he taunts a walker trapped inside a tow truck. Ordering her new enforcer to keep their day in line with his cool, calm, collected, and threatening attitude, The Dama is taken aback when he gives her a sarcastic response. Reclaiming her upper hand, she slyly reminds him that she knows where his family is — forcing Negan to keep his mouth shut and get back in line.
Since the show’s second season debuted earlier this month, audiences have been counting down the days until this week’s fourth episode. Why, you ask? Well, for the first half of the show’s sophomore season, the story has kept Negan and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) separate from one another, which has been a huge and noticeable shift from the first season. Now, the pair will meet again, face-to-face, back on the titular island of Manhattan, where they last said their farewells when Maggie revealed her true reason for bringing Negan along on her latest adventure — to swap out for her son, Hershel (Logan Kim). Since then, Negan has been under the control of The Dama and her crew, forced to dip into his old, rough-and-tough persona that he has been so long disconnected from.
What To Expect From the Rest of ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’s Second Season
From what we saw in the trailers and teasers foreshadowing the second season, it seems from this point on, the action will crank up tenfold — which will certainly be welcomed by viewers. We know that there’s some sort of fight between Maggie and a bear in an upcoming episode, and that she’ll also eventually pick up Negan’s beloved bat known as Lucille — a moment that will have many talking, considering Maggie’s troubled relationship with the inanimate object.
