NeNe Leakes Says She’s “Not Surprised” by Kenya Moore’s Controversial RHOA Exit, Shares Where They Stand, and Talks Phaedra’s Return, Plus Update on Boyfriend Nyonisela & If She Wants to Get Married Again

The dust is still settling from the revelation that Kenya Moore will no longer be a part of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Now, NeNe Leakes is giving her thoughts on Kenya’s exit while promoting her new lifetime show. Plus, she gives an update on where she stands with her boyfriend after a few cryptic social media posts.

As everyone knows, Kenya was suspended from RHOA season 16 after she allegedly used revenge porn against Brittany Eady. Since then, it has been reported that she has exited the show with some saying she was fired and others saying she walked away.

Recently, Nene spoke to E! News and gave her thoughts on Kenya’s departure from the show. According to Nene, “I don’t know if I was surprised. I know that, over the years, Kenya has always pushed the envelope a little bit.

NeNe continues, “Listen, those girls do a lot of things. I don’t think I’m surprised at all.”

NeNe goes on to discuss her relationship with the cast today and why she thinks Phaedra Parks should return to the series.

“We’re not talking every daybut when we see each other, there’s no beef. There’s no hard feelings. Actually we laugh about it.”

NeNe then says, “Housewives is where the viewers know her from, and, to me, if she was going to be on any platform, it should be on the Housewives platform, not Married to Medicine. I think Phaedra would be a good addition again.”

NeNe also spoke to E! News about her relationship with Nyonisela Siohand she revealed that they’re not ready for engagement and that they are having some issues. The two have been on and off again over the last two years.

According to NeNe, “We’re okay. Could always be better. He keeps checking a few of my boxes, but we have some work to do.”

NeNe also opened up about how dating has changed since before she married the dearly departed Gregg Leakes.

“Things have definitely changed since I met Gregg 25 years ago. Now, dating out here, I feel like the pool of men are not that great, and it’s just hard to find someone that is emotionally available. I always say you want someone to come into your life that helps to elevate you or teach you something or just make you great.”

Regarding marriage, the RHOA alum says she’s been there and done that so she doesn’t need it again. However, she does enjoy being in love. She also doesn’t rule out the possibility of getting married again — it’s just not a requirement for her life.

She says, “I don’t have to have marriage because I’ve had it before. But I certainly would like a really good, healthy relationship that has a lot of love and respect.”
