New 9-1-1 Photo Includes A Major Set Reveal

9-1-1: Nashville reveals a major element in a new set photo, previewing what to expect from the spinoff. The second spinoff in the first-responder franchise, after 9-1-1: Lone Star ended earlier this year, 9-1-1: Nashville recently unveiled its main cast ahead of its debut on ABC later this year.

Bringing in television veterans such as Chris O'Donnell (NCIS: Los Angeles) and Jessica Capshaw (Grey's Anatomy), along with LeeAnn Rimes and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, the upcoming series will put Nashville's reputation as Music City to the test early on. It is also steadily setting up the locations and sets crucial to the 9-1-1 franchise.

9-1-1 News (on X) has shared photos of the 113's firehouse on 9-1-1: Nashville. According to the account, which tracks developments connected to the hit series, a permit reveals that the building will undergo $340,000 in renovations in order to be ready for primetime. Check out the initial photos below:

What This Means For 9-1-1: Nashville

It's A Key Component

The firehouse is a crucial location for more than just the firefighter focus of the franchise. It's also where the characters have had some of the most emotional moments. This is evident in the 9-1-1 season 8 finale, with Howard Han (Kenneth Choi) stepping in to fill the void created by the death of Captain Bobby Nash (Peter Krause) and proving himself as a capable leader.

9-1-1: Nashville debuts later this year.

The centrality of the firehouse has led some viewers to wish that it would take center stage in a different way, with the 118 relaxing during an episode that doesn't have as many emergencies. That hasn't quite happened yet. However, the 9-1-1: Nashville cast, which also includes Hailey Kilgore, Michael Provost, Juani Feliz, and Hunter McVey, could make use of the building. As the photos reveal though, it's not quite customized just yet.

Our Take On The Latest 9-1-1 Update

It Should Feel Unique

The first responders in the procedural franchise, created by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, and Tim Minear, are always running to emergencies. It doesn't leave them a ton of time to sit around and enjoy their surroundings, outside of a meal or two in 118's case, but showrunner Rashad Raisani could do something different by spending more time in the firehouse.

It's no secret that the famed franchise is at a sensitive crossroads. Some are upset that 9-1-1: Lone Star wasn't renewed, and even more are dismayed by Bobby's getting killed off. The best thing 9-1-1: Nashville could do, right now, is stand on its own and establish its own identity, firehouse and all.
