The New Orleans Saints have made some notable moves during the first couple of waves of NFL free agency. Accordingly, their 2025 NFL Draft plans have come into focus with a plethora of different needs remaining.
The Saints hold a top ten selection in round one. On day two, they currently hold three picks between rounds two and three. While they don't have a fifth-round pick, New Orleans does hold two fourth-rounders and two seventh-rounders.
That is a lot of ammo to make major improvements to the roster in black and gold. Check out all of their picks ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft below.
New Orleans Saints 2025 draft picks released
New Orleans' pick slate was finalized and released recently. They received one compensatory selection after review.
- Round 1, Pick 9
- Round 2, Pick 40
- Round 3, Pick 71
- Round 3, Pick 93 (from WAS)
- Round 4, Pick 112
- Round 4, Pick 131 (from WAS)
- Round 6, Pick 184
- Round 7, Pick 248 (from PHI)
- Round 7, Pick 254 (compensatory)
That final pick, ruled a comp pick by the league, was a recent change based on a recalculation. The decision proves how fluid this entire process is for NFL teams around the league.
The NFL Management Council has informed clubs of a recalculation to the 2025 compensatory picks, awarding the #Saints a seventh-round selection, removing a seventh from the #Dolphins and sliding back the #Browns and #Chargers sevenths by one pick. -- Tom Pelissero
Compensatory picks are awarded to NFL teams to compensate for free agents lost in the previous offseason. That being said, the particular formula for their distribution to different teams is not public information as of now.
Regardless, there are a lot of opportunities for Saints' new head coach Kellen Moore to fill some important roster holes and create young depth on both sides of the football during this year's draft.
