The New Orleans Saints have wrapped up mandatory minicamp. Plenty of work remains this offseason, but there are plenty of notable storylines regarding Kellen Moore's new team.
Check out the latest news regarding the Saints as the summer begins below.
Chris Olave ends trade rumors
The top wideout for the Saints isn't going anywhere. During an offseason of baseless trade rumors, both Kellen Moore and Chris Olave himself have shot down the idea of New Orleans moving on from him.
“It’s all rumors, man. ... Everybody trying to have something for clicks. I love it here, man. I love the front office. I love my coaches. I’m excited to be here and I want to be here forever. This is where I want to be.”

QB battle continues with no clear frontrunner
Tyler Shough is pushing to become another rookie quarterback who starts in his first year in the pros. Meanwhile, Spencer Rattler wants another shot. He played some last season in place, and the results were a mixed bag for the young gunslinger.
With Kellen Moore at the helm, this QB competition has been tight-lipped, and no one truly knows who (if anyone) has the edge as of right now. Both have had impressive moments in practice so far, and some blemishes have shown up as well.
New Orleans adds running back depth
The Saints recently signed running back Cam Akers as a potential backup for Alvin Kamara. He will compete with Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kendre Miller, Devin Neal, and others during training camp and the preseason.
A culture shift for the Saints under Kellen Moore
Multiple players have discussed a different feeling around the players and coaching staff under Kellen Moore.
Moore has proven a change in decision-making for his group by cancelling their final minicamp practice for a team outing. He and the organization also put together a team paintball trip recently as well. Moore clearly values the camaraderie and leadership aspect from his players and wants them to feel valued as individuals as well.
Saints' new veteran safety Justin Reid discussed Moore's philosophy recently.
