The New Orleans Saints do not possess high expectations from the outside media or fans of other teams for the 2025 season. A lot of those doubts stem from the uncertainty at the quarterback position for the Saints offense. A Barstool Sports podcast isn't jiving with the QB room for New Orleans, either.
Saints ranked last in QB rankings
In quarterback rankings from Pardon My Take, the Saints were precisely where you don't want to be in basically any rankings. They were placed in dead last when it came to QBs across the NFL.

Of course, the rankings did not pinpoint Spencer Rattler or Tyler Shough as the player to rank - since no one truly knows who Kellen Moore will start to begin the season. Also, keep in mind that these rankings aren't supposed to be treated as gospel - but rather, they're an exercise created for a bit of a social media discussion to a degree.
I completely understand this ranking. There is so much unknown surrounding both players, and Rattler had his fair share of struggles last season when thrust into action in place of Derek Carr. As for Tyler Shough, he was selected early in the second round but may ultimately be given the keys to the offense for 2025, at the least.
That being said, I would be tempted by placing a couple of other quarterbacks below the Saints QB room for 2025.
Joe Flacco is a potential starter for the Cleveland Browns. While he is a player that many will root for at age 40, he gives you nearly no upside as a starter. He struggled mightily last season in most of his outings for the Indianapolis Colts.
Speaking of Indy, the QB room there could also contend for last place. Anthony Richardson is, once again, nursing an injury that is keeping him off the field. Daniel Jones is his potential replacement, and we can probably all agree that he isn't a notable starting option at this point of his career. The last time we saw him for the New York Giants - it wasn't a pretty sight.
We really cannot be totally sure of what Rattler or Shough truly are as of yet. There will certainly be some bumps along the way this season, regardless of who gets the nod.
That being said, not being for sure that a player will struggle enough to kill a team's momentum is better than expecting it since you've seen it on multiple occasions previously.
