Aaron Rodgers’ future with the New York Jets might be in jeopardy as the new Jets GM might be looking to replace him.
The New York Jets have made some wholesale changes to their front office structure. The Jets have hired a new head coach and new GM.
Glenn Aaron will take the helm as head coach, and has already begun impressing everyone within the fanbase, with Dan Orlovsky comparing Aaron to Rex Ryan, another great Jets head coach.
Even Reggie Bush was taken by how strong a move it was from the Jets to hire their former player.
The Jets also hired Darren Mougey as their new GM, replacing Joe Douglas after a disastrous season in charge.
Mougey has already made his intentions clear as he looks to help the Jets course correct after a shambolic few years.
Darren Mougey wants to fix New York Jets’ QB problem
Speaking at a press conference, Darren Mougey noted that he wants to help address the New York Jets’ quarterback problem.
“Obviously, it’s important. We’re going to have a lot of dialogue and conversation about the quarterback position, and we’ll explore and exhaust every option.”
Mougey has the knowledge and expertise to find the Jets their next quarterback. Mougey was a three-star recruit out of Scottsdale Arizona, and played two years at San Diego State
The Jets have struggled with Aaron Rodgers at the helm, as the former MVP has not performed up to expectations since arriving in 2023.
It is unclear whether Mougey will stick with Rodgers heading into the next season, or look for an adequate replacement.

Rodgers could have one more good season in him
It’s hard to remember because how how long ago it was, but Aaron Rodgers started the season well with the Jets.
Their 2-1 start to the season showed signs of promise. However, a quick losing streak began to develop, and the firing of Robert Saleh did not help matters at all.
The initial signs of promise might give Mougey and Glenn Aaron pause and make them give Aaron Rodgers a shot in the quarterback role for one more season.
At 41 years old, Rodgers’ best days are behind him. However, quarterbacks like Tom Brady and Drew Brees have shown that your 40s don’t mark the end of your career.
If Rodgers can deliver a strong season for the Jets, and their team regains their defensive brilliance, the Jets could be a dark horse in the AFC.
