NFC rival steals one of Kellen Moore's assistants who was about to get a promotion from the Saints

Kellen Moore has built a ton of his staff so far for the New Orleans Saints. He's got both of his coordinators in Doug Nussmeier (OC) and Brandon Staley (DC).

One potential piece to their coaching staff on offense won't be in New Orleans next season, though. He garnered a lot of interest this offseason and has chosen to go to a new NFC team.

Vikings hiring Saints' assistant coach

According to Ian Rapoport, the Minnesota Vikings are hiring Jordan Traylor as their new assistant OC and assistants QBs coach.

Traylor, 31 years old, replaces Vikings assistant Grant Udinski, who left to become the Jacksonville Jaguars’ offensive coordinator.

Traylor was expected to receive a promotion to assistant QB coach for New Orleans, according to a report from late February.

The New Orleans #Saints are promoting Jordan Traylor to assistant QB coach, a source tells @247Sports.

The 30-year old Traylor, an ex-Texas A&M QB and the son of UTSA coach Jeff Traylor, has worked for the Saints the last five years in a variety of roles, including in scouting and in the linebacker and tight end rooms.

Instead, he will head to Minnesota for an even bigger role swap and growth for a team that plays in the same conference as the Saints. Now, it will be interesting to see how Moore pivots for the offensive staff in New Orleans.

There is a strong belief around the Saints' org and some other teams that Traylor could be an OC in the league at some point in his career. He's got a bright future ahead of him in the coaching world.
