NFL HC Hypes Anthony Richardson: 'Everybody is Scared' of Colts QB Entering 2nd Year

The NFL community is expecting big things from Indianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson heading into his second season.

One NFL head coach told Mike Sando of The Athletic that "everybody is scared" of the Colts quarterback.

Another offensive coach said he was the "closest thing" to former NFL MVP Cam Newton, "being a man that big who can run the ball and rip it."

"Watching this dude in pregame from the 50 just arc and pace it, I said, 'This guy can be a problem if it all comes together, because he has the athleticism,'" a second offensive coach added.

Granted, Richardson still needs to prove he can stay healthy—he only played four games for the Colts last season due to a number of injuries—and can improve upon his accuracy after only completing 59.5 percent of his passes as a rookie. But the raw talent and upside are undeniably there.
