While Buffalo Bills' quarterback Josh Allen was unable to get his team into the Big Game on the field, he found a way to be a part of it off the field.
Allen starred in a 30-second commercial for the University of Wyoming, Allen's alma mater. "Where Real MVPs Are Made" the spot was titled, showing highlights from Allen's three-year Wyoming career.
The commercial was produced by Wyoming's in-house marketing team and dons the message: "At the University of Wyoming, we're the team that believes you can do anything. This is where underdogs come to shine and where real MVPs are made."
Allen didn't receive a single Division I offer out of high school, the then-two-star recruit instead chose to play for Reedley College, a junior college where one of the assistant coaches was married to Allen's cousin.
At Reedley, the offense averaged 452.2 yards of offense per game with Allen under center. After not playing in the team's first three games, Allen threw for 26 touchdowns, earning him a scholarship offer from Wyoming.
Allen spent three seasons at Wyoming, his first medical redshirt year after breaking his collarbone in his first start.
Allen was Wyoming's starter from his return until his graduation, leading the Cowboys to consecutive Bowl Games, a feat the school hadn't accomplished since the 1980s. Allen led the Mountain West Conference with 28 touchdowns in 2016.
Over his Wyoming career, Allen played in 27 games, completed 56.2% of his passes, and threw for 5,066 yards and 44 touchdowns.
Allen would become the first Wyoming quarterback to ever play in the NFL, and the school's highest draft pick, becoming just the fifth first-round selection.
Allen's love for Wyoming and the Cowboys has been no secret, and this isn't the first time his alma mater has shown their appreciation for Allen.
In the NFL, Allen has blossomed into one of the game's best quarterbacks. Allen's 77.3 quarterback rating was the NFL's best mark this season.
A three-time Pro Bowl selection, and this year's AP NFL MVP, Allen has already solidified himself as one of the best players of a generation. Allen has his sights set on getting one particular monkey off his back: Making, and winning the Super Bowl.
Allen has been unable to reach the summit of the AFC, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs four times in his six playoff attempts. It hasn't been due to Allen's play, rather despite it, in his 13 playoff games, Allen has thrown for 3,359 yards with a 25-four touchdown-to-interception ratio.
