Where will Aaron Rodgers end up this offseason? That's one of the biggest questions heading into the start of free agency, make no mistake about it.
Rodgers is no longer considered an MVP-caliber quarterback at this stage in his career. However, he proved last season with the New York Jets that he can still sling the football at a high level. Despite dealing with a subpar coaching staff, he threw for 3,897 yards with 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
The New York Giants are currently considered the top suitor for Rodgers. They recently missed out on Matthew Stafford, so it makes sense for them to consider another veteran quarterback.
Although there aren't any reports linking Aaron Rodgers to the Las Vegas Raiders, it sounds like he has a few fans in the building. And at the very least, he has Maxx Crosby's support.
On the latest episode of his "The Rush" podcast, Crosby made it clear that he'd like to be teammates with Rodgers.
"The first year off of an Achilles is one of the hardest things to do," Crosby said. "You have seen happen with Kirk [Cousins] he had a down year. It happened with Aaron, he struggled like you said early on but he got better as the season went on.
"I think with all the doubt and all the negativity around Aaron Rodgers... I think he is going to come back, I know he is 41 years old. I think he is going to have a big year this year, and I hope it is in our town."
Crosby, a four-time Pro Bowler, is undoubtedly the face of the franchise in Las Vegas. If the front office wants to capitalize on his prime years, they'd be wise to add a difference-maker at quarterback.
We'll see if the Raiders pursue Rodgers in the coming weeks.
