The Montreal Canadiens were a team that everyone was watching as they headed into the trade deadline. Montreal took a coveted piece off the board, extending Jake Evans. With the five-game winning streak and back in the wildcard mix, does this mean Joel Armia, Christian Dvorak, and David Savard will stay or get traded?

– Could the Montreal Canadiens actually be buyers? With Kirby Dach‘s injury news, does this change what GM Kent Hughes does at the deadline now and in the future?

The news on Jack Hughes‘s injury is not good. There is a chance he will be done for the rest of the regular season. New Jersey was already actively looking for a center to meet its other needs. It may think outside the box to address the center position in the short term and the long term.
