Nicole Paggi Fills In For General Hospital’s Kirsten Storms – Slated For Summer As Maxie Jones Recast

General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply that fans were caught off guard during the Thursday, July 3 episode when actress Nicole Paggi stepped in once again to replace Kirsten Storms as Maxie Jones.

As there was no heads up for a recast, viewers were shocked, but it sounds like Storms won’t be gone from the canvas for too long. With that said, as per a TV Insider report, this recast won’t be a one-off thing. More on this, below.

Nicole Paggi Steps In As Maxie Jones For Multiple Episodes

According to the TV Insider report, Paggi’s current run as Maxie will continue during the summer for multiple episodes.

Thanks to the daytime drama’s fast-paced filming, where more than one show is shot in one day, Paggi will also appear on the ABC soap on Wednesday, July 30 and Wednesday, August 13. Still, fans can rest assured that Storms will return to the canvas during the week of August 18.

Maxie Storm Recast History

This isn’t Paggi’s first rodeo as Maxie Jones, as she filled in for Storms about two years ago in December 2023.

The reason for the current recast has been explained, as a spokesperson for GH has stated that the decision for a temporary replacement was needed due to a scheduling conflict in Kirsten’s calendar.

Interestingly enough, others have filled in for the actress in the past on the daytime drama over the years. Days of Our Lives alumni Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie Jonas) stepped in for Storms in 2016 and 2018, as well as fellow DOOLer Jen Lilley (ex-Theresa Donovan) in 2011 to 2012.

Kirsten Storms entered the role of Maxie in 2005 and has become a staple in storylines since she arrived on the scene, starting as a wild teenager and now a respectable member of the Port Charles community.
