Nikita Zadorov Sends Powerful Message to Bruins

Nikita Zadorov is clearly excited to be a Bruin.

Nikita Zadorov is one of the big-name players who the Boston Bruins added this offseason. He is expected to be a crucial part of their blueline moving forward, and the 6-foot-6 defender made it clear that he is excited to be a Bruin while speaking with reporters this week.

While speaking with reporters, including Boston Hockey Now's Andrew Fantucchio, Zadorov discussed how he believes he and the Bruins are a good fit.

Zadorov said: "I feel like [Boston] fits my mentality as well: win or nothing. This city is so culturally engaged in sports. All four teams here are always winning and competing for championships, and fans expect you to win every year. I like that pressure, and I think it drives me.”

Zadorov then sent the Bruins a powerful message, clarifying that his biggest goal is to help the Original Six club win the Stanley Cup. He noted that it was the reason why he signed with the Bruins.

"I signed here because I want my chance to win a championship. I'm really invested in what I do, and I'm putting all my heart in it. I'm here for six years, and I will put my heart into being a Bruin and trying to win the Stanley Cup here."

This is precisely the kind of stuff that the Bruins should want to hear from their new additions like Zadorov. Clearly, Zadorov is incredibly motivated to help the Bruins win their seventh Stanley Cup in franchise history. It is long overdue, and maybe he can be one of the pieces that helps get it done. There is no question that the Bruins will benefit from his size and toughness on their blueline.
