While the picture has yet to secure a distributor or release date, it has already reached a major milestone by being selected for key festival screenings.
The Sun can reveal that The Spin will be showcased at Marché du Film, the prestigious market that runs alongside the Cannes Film Festival.
This recognition places the film on a global stage, increasing its chances of securing distribution and attracting industry interest.
A source said: “The Spin is on the festival circuit and the next stops are Bremen this weekend, Rome next weekend and Gloucester on 12th April.
"California Pictures Inc are representing the film as sales agents and are planning to hold a screening at the Marché du Film Festival de Cannes.
"The film is likely to be in high demand, which will be welcome news for Maura, especially given everything that’s been going on with her private life at the moment.”
Maura, who shot to fame on the ITV2 show in 2019, will join the likes of Kimberly Wyatt, Owen Colgan, Tara Lynne O'Neill and Brenock O'Connor on-screen.
The Spin is written by Colin Broderick and Mark McCausland.
