Oilers Evan Bouchard roasts Connor Garland for his height nguyensa

Tonight's Oilers and Canucks rivalry got a little more heated when Evan Bouchard ripped into Connor Garland personally.

Evan Bouchard with the Oilers

Garland is a fierce competitor, always playing above his obviously smaller stature. At 5'8, Garland is one of the shortest players in the NHL, and Evan Bouchard let him know about it.

While Garland was being sent to the box for a penalty, Evan Bouchard was simply laughing while marking Garland's height with his arm, and it wasn't above his head. Garland was clearly ticked off, but just had to take it while being escorted to the box.

Bouchard has been running his mouth a little bit this postseason, as his increasingly star status gives him a bit more confidence. In recently released clips of Bouchard mic'd up against the Kings, he was chirping the other team for diving for penalty calls, bad facial hair, and being bad at hockey in general.

Bouchard is growing more into a pest as his confidence grows, and it's a fantastic sight to see from the young Oilers defenceman. At just 24 years old, he's had a point per game season for the first time, and is second to only Bobby Orr in playoff points per game by a defenceman. It's great to see Bouch evolving into a true superstar, and owning his status in this league.
