After months of anticipation, NBC has officially announced that Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., and Chicago Med will all return this fall — with all three series airing on the same night to preserve the iconic One Chicago Wednesday lineup fans know and love.

The network also confirmed that the majority of the main cast members are coming back, reassuring fans after swirling rumors about possible exits. On Chicago P.D., Jason Beghe is back as Hank Voight, alongside LaRoyce Hawkins (Atwater), Marina Squerciati (Burgess), Patrick John Flueger (Ruzek), and Benjamin Levy Aguilar (Torres). Tracy Spiridakos (Upton), however, will make her final appearance this season, setting the stage for an emotional goodbye arc.

Over on Chicago Fire, Taylor Kinney returns full-time as Severide after stepping away temporarily during Season 11. He’s joined by series regulars Miranda Rae Mayo (Stella Kidd), David Eigenberg (Herrmann), Joe Minoso (Cruz), and Hanako Greensmith (Violet Mikami). While Kara Killmer (Sylvie Brett) exited earlier in Season 12, a new paramedic will be introduced to fill the void at Firehouse 51.

Chicago Med also remains strong with S. Epatha Merkerson (Sharon Goodwin), Oliver Platt (Dr. Charles), Marlyne Barrett (Maggie Lockwood), Dominic Rains (Dr. Marcel), and Jessy Schram (Dr. Hannah Asher) all confirmed to return. A new trauma surgeon with a complicated backstory is also joining the team, hinting at fresh conflict and high-stakes medical drama.

Beyond the returning cast, NBC has teased at least two major crossover events this season. These episodes will unite characters across all three shows for intense rescues, complex medical emergencies, and personal stakes that span departments.

Fans are already buzzing on social media, sharing countdowns, character tributes, and theories about how the new season will unfold. With production already underway and set photos surfacing, it’s clear the One Chicago universe is gearing up for one of its most ambitious seasons yet.

Whether you’re tuning in for the high-octane rescues, the hospital drama, or the emotional dynamics of Voight’s team, One Chicago is back — and it’s bringing the heat.
