Madison LeCroy, who stars on Bravo’s Southern Charm, talked about the challenges of filming the show while expecting her second baby. At 34, she described how both pregnancy and diving back into motherhood shaped her experience after her daughter's birth.
“It was honestly, like, probably one of the worst things I’ve ever had to do,” Madison told Us Weekly. "I don’t know if it was one, being dead sober or two, just being extremely heavy and very hot. I was dying. I did have to tell Venita because I think she tracks my location, so I was like, ‘Oh, my God, if she sees me here, she’s gonna know,’ Madison said. “So Venita knows, but I’m not sure if she told anybody else. But it’s only a matter of time.”
LeCroy, part of Southern Charm since 2019, admitted juggling pregnancy while keeping up with filming felt tough on her body and mind. She said it got harder as her pregnancy progressed. The mix of on-set demands and physical discomfort made the later stages of filming hard for her.
Madison LeCroy, already a mom to 12-year-old Hudson from her earlier marriage to Josh Hughes, revealed her pregnancy during the Season 10 reunion of the show. This baby is her first with her husband, Brett Randle, whom she tied the knot with in November 2022.
LeCroy welcomed her daughter, Teddi, on June 29. She was 34 weeks along in her pregnancy at the time. A few days after giving birth, she shared her experience in a livestream on Amazon sponsored by Graco, a baby product company. She described her baby as “independent” and mentioned how her loved ones have been excited and supportive while adjusting to life with the newest member of their family.
LeCroy has stepped back from social media as she gets used to being at home with her baby. She said some of her Southern Charm co-stars might have noticed her being missing online but haven’t contacted her about it. She joked that they should’ve caught on that something was up because she wasn’t posting.
Venita Aspen was one of the only cast members to know about the baby’s birth before everyone else. LeCroy said she told Aspen since she figured Aspen would notice where she was and put the pieces together. It’s still unclear if Aspen told anyone about it before the news went public.
LeCroy talked about the chance of her daughter being on Southern Charm but said no decision has been made. Her son Hudson and her husband Brett have both appeared on the show before. However, she isn’t sure if Teddi will join, saying it would depend on different things, like how comfortable she feels about it.
When asked which cast member would make a good babysitter, LeCroy shared that no male cast members made the cut. She pointed out Whitney Sudler-Smith as the least likely option and made it clear that none of her male co-stars are on her list to watch her kids.
