Only Two RHOBH Stars Reached out to Dorit Kemsley After PK Separation Announcement

When Dorit Kemsley was robbed at gunpoint, several of her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costars rushed to be by her side. When she announced her separation from PK Kemsley, the reaction was totally different.

During the RHOBH Season 14 After Show, Dorit said she heard absolutely nothing from her longtime RHOBH pals when the news went public about her separation, and of course, that left her feeling disappointed. When she finally did hear from someone, it was a little too late.

Dorit Kemsley expected more from her friends

Season 14 of RHOBH is unique because it’s the first time in the show’s history that not a single Housewife is happily married. Whether it’s a curse unique to this franchise or something larger happening, all of these ladies have been down the same path as Dorit and PK. That’s why she was hoping to get some support when the two announced their separation.

“Naïvely, I actually thought going into the group, because so many women in the group had had this experience, that I would be around support,” Dorit explained. “Oh boy, was I wrong.”

Meanwhile, Kyle Richards explained that she felt hesitant about contacting Dorit. She apparently started overthinking it. However, she wasted no time texting PK.

“I wrote a text to both of them, and I was in a total panic about what to do,” Kyle explained.

Kyle claimed that she was afraid to message Dorit because she thought she’d “misinterpret” it amid their shaky relationship. Of all people, Erika Jayne was the voice of reason that told Kyle to send the text.

“Kyle did eventually end up reaching out by text,” Dorit recalled during the After Show. “Would you believe that was actually more than 90 percent of the ladies did?”

What really frustrated Dorit was how the “lack of compassion” about her separation came from some of the same ladies that ignited the news of her home invasion. On the other hand, Dorit commended Bozoma Saint John for showing a great deal of empathy. She empathized with Dorit from the moment they first met.

“If you could understand why, it meant so much to me, that first time ever meeting you,” Dorit told Bozoma. “You lent more support to me in one of the hardest times in my life in that hour than the women combined that I had known.”

A newbie to reality TV, Bozoma had a hard time wrapping her head around all of this. How could the rest of the RHOBH ladies not reach out to Dorit? In time, she’ll learn that this group of “friends” operates in mysterious ways.

Season 14 of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs every Tuesday on Bravo at 8/7c.
