Laura Vining Webber Spencer Collins is General Hospital‘s Mayor of Port Charles. Little things like being a convicted killer, multiple stays in a mental institution, a felonious grandson, and a husband with a multitude of sins weren’t enough to keep her from getting elected. But this just might. What Laura’s campaign manager might have to say to his difficult client:

Reason One
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). The man is a criminal. A very, very bad guy. When people like Selina Wu (Lydia Look) give him a wide berth, it suggests he is dangerous. And lethal. And prone to shooting government agents in cold blood (just as an example). He did shoot his own son in the chest. When said son was a government agent. Said son is the father of your grandchild. Ask him about it. See what he says.
Reason Two
Sonny Corinthos. The man is a criminal. A very, very bad guy. Kind of like a fellow by the name of Frank Smith. Remember Frank Smith?
You and your former husband risked your lives to go on the run and bring down Frank Smith’s criminal organization. Memories of that glorious summer was a major factor in your election. Not just Port Charles, but the entire world fell in love with you then. Which is why they love you now. However, any opponent would be a fool not to lean in and point out how your attitude towards organized crime has changed since those days. Do you think the electorate will continue to love you then?
