Original ‘Real Housewives of N.J.’ cast member will not be rejoining show, despite her wishes

A member of the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” cast reportedly won’t return for the show’s next season.

Danielle Staub will not be a part of the show’s 15th season despite her wishes to rejoin the cast because producers “aren’t sold” on her, according to TMZ.

Staub, 62, made an appearance on “The Straightened Out” podcast last week and said she was ready to come back to the show again.

“I know I resigned last time and I said I would never return ... yeah, I’d do it,” she said on the podcast.

Producers are looking to rearrange the show’s cast, seeking out a friend group that is “positive” and “loving” citing the cast’s ongoing conflict as a reason to do so.

The showrunners expressed they want to “move away from any heavy themes or toxic fighting” in the upcoming season. Turmoil between Theresa Guidice and Melissa Gorga has been a huge storyline in the past few seasons.

Staub was an original cast member and left the show after its second season. Staub then returned for seasons eight through 10 before announced a second departure in 2020.

The show’s producers are months away from making any final decisions on the future cast, according to the report. The season is likely to air sometime next year.
