A pair of Vancouver Canucks are set to participate in popular summer hockey league beginning tonight.

In a social media post on Tuesday, Da Beauty League, which is a popular summer hockey league in Minnesota, released their rosters for 2024 and a pair of Vancouver Canucks are among those who are participating.

Newly-signed defenceman Derek Forbort will captain Team Element and his roster includes Nic Dowd, Bobby Brink, Tommy Novak, Mason Shaw, among others.

Meanwhile, Canucks forward Teddy Blueger, who signed an extension with Vancouver a couple of weeks ago, is on Team Walser, captained by Vinni Lettieri of the Boston Bruins. Among the players on Blueger's team include Brock Faber, Nick Jensen, Ryan Lindgren, K'Andre Miller, Nick Bjugstad and Jacob Bernard-Docker.

The other two participating teams are also full of NHL talent, one of which is captained by former Vancouver Canucks defenceman Nate Schmidt. Brock Nelson captains a team featuring Ryan McDonagh, Jake Guentzel and James van Riemsdyk, while Schmidt's team has Erik Haula, Brady Skjei, Jason Zucker, Anders Lee and Ryan Poehling.

Da Beauty League was founded back in 2015 and in the years since, has provided NHL players and prospects, as well as some NCAA players an opportunity to play in a summer league to stay game-ready. Each team plays one game every Wednesday, starting tonight, and runs until August 28th.
