Some positive news for the Buffalo Bills was reported on Wednesday by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said Dalton Kincaid and Keon Coleman are both expected to practice fully. This is a big step forward for the Bills as they prepare for their huge Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Kincaid, the second-year tight end, has missed several games due to a knee injury he suffered during the Bills' Nov. 10 game in Indianapolis. Kincaid had attempted to make a catch on a slightly overthrown ball from Josh Allen in the red zone, a play that could have resulted in a big gain, possibly even a touchdown, but came down hard and exited the game shortly after.
Since then, he hasn’t returned to action. Through 10 games in 2024, Kincaid has totaled 34 catches, 356 yards and two touchdowns. His return could be a crucial addition to Buffalo’s offense, especially as the team focuses on playoff positioning with the AFC East already clinched.
In addition to Kincaid, Coleman, the No. 33 overall selection in the 2024 NFL Draft, is expected to return to full participation. Coleman has been out since suffering a wrist injury during the game-winning drive against the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 3.
The rookie receiver has appeared in nine games this season, recording 22 receptions for 417 yards and three touchdowns. Although Coleman has practiced in a limited capacity over the past two weeks, his return to full practice signals that he could soon rejoin the offense.
This is particularly good news for Josh Allen and the offense, which will likely be in an offensive shootout against the Lions. Detroit enters the game with the NFL's No. 1 scoring offense (32.1 points per game), and Buffalo is close behind at No. 2 (30.5 points per game).
Both teams are known for putting up big numbers, making it essential for Allen to have all of his weapons at his disposal. With Kincaid's ability to make plays in the passing game and Coleman's deep-threat potential, the Bills offense will be better equipped to keep pace with the high-scoring Lions.
