PAMPA, Texas (KVII) — A Pampa-native could be the next American Idol.
Arieon Keller will audition for ABC's hit singing competition at tomorrow during CMA Fest in Nashville.
"After 11 years of trying and failing, I have finally made it to the American Idol live auditions," said Keller.
Thursday afternoon, the City of Pampa gave her a motorcycle send off.
"I am so grateful. There are no words to describe how amazing this is," said Keller.
Keller said she has been told she should sing country music, but that's not what the judges -- Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, and Carrie Underwood -- will hear.
"Worship is my calling," said Keller who has wanted to be a worship singer her entire life. "I have always loved worship music and the things it did to people. The amount of joy and hope it holds out for people."
American Idol returns next year for Season 24. It will air Sundays at 7 p.m. on ABC 7
