Carolina Panthers receiver Xavier Legette is coming off a successful rookie year and ready to improve in 2025. However, he might have one of the weirdest diets in the NFL.
After going viral for saying he likes raccoons and even ate one for Thanksgiving, don't expect Legette to give up enjoying 'trash pandas'.
In a recent interview, the South Carolina native talked about how to catch and cook raccoons. While most would be turned off by the idea, whatever it takes to get a winning edge would be welcomed by Dave Canales and the Panthers. On top of raccoons, Legette also enjoys the roadside delicacy of squirrel and rabbit. Bon appetit!
There must be something in the water south of Charlotte. Former South Carolina standout and Washington Commanders defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw recently admitted to having the same list of diet items, with the addition of snakes.
Legette had 49 receptions for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. He'll work to be one of the top targets for Bryce Young as Carolina takes a step forward in the NFC South.
