Three of the 14 players were tight ends, which could be at least a temporary position of need following Tommy Tremble's placement on the active/physically unable to perform list. The bunch included Mabry, a former Seattle Seahawk who played under Panthers head coach Dave Canales, offensive coordinator Brad Idzik and tight ends coach Pat McPherson for multiple seasons out west.

Dyson, who spent the 2024 campaign with the Panthers, is another player of note from the group. The 24-year-old outside linebacker appeared in two games as a rookie, with 21 of his 31 snaps coming on special teams.

Carolina's first practice session of the summer is scheduled for Wednesday.
