Panthers great Cam Newton's favorite touchdown from his NFL career may surprise you

Carolina Panthers legend Cam Newton scored a total of 270 touchdowns over his 11-year NFL career. But which one of the 270 is his favorite?

Could it be the very first from his record-breaking pro debut, a 77-yard pass to fellow franchise great Steve Smith Sr.?

How about his insane flip into the end zone against the Houston Texans in 2015?

Or maybe it was the famous "I'm back!" statement in his return to the team in 2022.

Well, it's actually none of the above.

No. 1, on this past week's episode of 4th & 1 with Cam Newton, was asked to name his No. 1 score. This was his response:

That afternoon would see Newton and the 14-0 Panthers take their first loss of the 2015 campaign. The Atlanta Falcons, powered by wideout Julio Jones and his 178 receiving yards, pulled out the 20-13 upset just two weeks after eating a 38-0 loss in Carolina.

Newton would later go on to capture the league's Most Valuable Player award and lead the Panthers to their second-ever Super Bowl appearance.
