Southern Charm's Whitney Sudler-Smith is adamant about the fact that he "can't rush" his love life. But that hasn't stopped his mom, Patricia Altschul, from wanting him to settle down and find the one.
Patricia recently spoke with The Daily Dish, where she opened up about the current status of Whitney's love life, which he keeps incredibly private. While it doesn't seem like wedding bells will be ringing for Whitney anytime soon, Patricia admitted that she is optimistic that it will happen. "I'm still hopeful, as long as I'm still breathing I'm still hopeful," she noted.
But, she isn't waiting with baited breath, either. "I'm not holding my breath, I've done it before," she said.
Does Whitney Sudler-Smith have a girlfriend?
Since he keeps his love life close to the vest, Patricia admitted that Whitney might be seeing someone, but added, "he doesn't like it when I talk about his, you know, who he's seeing. I don't know that anything is serious right now."
"I know there's a contender, but let's just wait and see," she added.
Patricia Altschul reveals she wants Whitney Sudler-Smith to get married and have kids
Patricia has also expressed her interest in wanting to be a grandmother. During Southern Charm Season 9, Episode 15, Patricia appeared in a confessional, where she admitted that she wants Whitney to enter a new chapter in his life. "I want him to get married now," she said. "I mean, I did it after a couple of minutes. I don't know why he can't."
"I want Whitney to have a family," she continued. "He's an only child and...it just seems like life is slipping away."It's safe to say that Whitney is very busy with his career and that finding a partner just might take a back seat. In addition to being the creator and Executive Producer of Southern Charm (as explained in the video above), Whitney is a writer, a musician, and a culture aficionado.
"I am hardworking, No. 1. I have a production company [with] various shows in development or producing," he explained in a 2018 interview with The Daily Dish. "I've been playing in rock bands throughout my whole life, and I can shred heavy metal guitar, and I used to be in bands. And I had long hair and played in a lot of heavy metal bands. I play guitar every day. I'll say it's my hobby now, but I'm addicted to guitar, and I play at least an hour a day. And I'm classically trained."
