It was one of the most under-the-radar Chicago P.D. cameos in history — and one that made Patrick John Flueger very happy.
Let's flash back to Season 7, Episode 14, "Center Mass" and a moment when Flueger's real-life girlfriend, model Reem Amara, appeared on-camera as an ICU nurse! It's the literal definition of "blink and you'll miss it," as Amara only had a few moments on screen, but she popped, and that's all that matters. (Go ahead and rewatch the episode on Peacock, we'll wait!)
The only thing that could've been better was if she would have interacted with Flueger's Adam Ruzek, but alas, it wasn't meant to be.
Amara played her role perfectly, and her performance was good enough to make the actor run to social media to hilariously stake his claim to the mystery actress. The star took to Instagram on February 13, 2020, to "shoot his shot."
"Does anybody know who played the hot nurse on last nights episode of @nbcchicagopd ...I need to know. Cause I'm pretty sure I need to take her out on a date 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 #OuttaMyleague," Flueger wrote in a caption.
What a sweet message! There's nothing better than seeing couples support each other in their endeavors.
Flueger and Amara have been romantically linked since 2019, and they're still strong today. After her cameo on Chicago P.D., Amara parlayed that role into several other gigs, including in the 2023 film Hidden Exposure.

There's a Chicago P.D. wedding in Patrick John Flueger's future
Flueger's real-life love life is going strong in 2025, but his fictional love life looking great as well — after all, wedding bells are ringing for Ruzek and Kim Burgess on Chicago P.D., and the event is slated to close out Season 12!
Following year after year of a rollercoaster romance, the duo is finally tying at the end of the current season. Their fate was cemented when Ruzek popped the question (for the third time) with an intimate bedroom proposal last year during Season 11.
"I'm touched that they think that it's worth ending the season with it, but I don't know how it's going to go," Flueger told TV Line. "I've always been fascinated to see how they do an episode of Chicago P.D. and have a proper wedding with all of the corn and cheese that that deserves."
