Pittsburgh Penguins forward Michael Bunting was involved in a minor car accident on Sunday outside of PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh ahead of their tilt against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
According to head coach Mike Sullivan, there were no major injuries in the accident.
"Everybody's okay, yeah" Sullivan said. "Bunts was involved in it. In the accident out there. He won't play tonight, but he's okay."
Assistant coach Mike Velucci was also at the scene of the accident.
Bunting has been a crucial part of the power play's success this season, as he has a team-leading eight power play goals. The Penguins are already short one top-six forward, as Evgeni Malkin was placed on injured reserve with an upper-body injury on Sunday as well after missing the past three games.
On the season so far, Bunting has registered 13 goals and 25 points in 43 games.
