The Pittsburgh Penguins will once again participate in the Prospect Challenge event hosted by the Buffalo Sabres in September.
This event is a series of scrimmages between prospects from five NHL teams. In addition to the Penguins and Sabres, the Boston Bruins, Columbus Blue Jackets and New Jersey Devils will participate.
All scrimmages will be played at the LECOM Harborcenter’s KeyBank Rink. The Penguins’ portion of the schedule:
Sept. 12 - vs. Bruins, 3:30 p.m.
Sept. 14 - vs. Blue Jackets, 3:30 p.m.
Sept. 15 - vs. Sabres, noon.
Rosters have yet to be released. The Penguins have been regular participants in this event for several years.
